To you, Calista-Rae Makanalani Joanna and Edyn Kawena'okalani.

I've made a lot of mistakes as a Mom, sometimes more than I'd like to admit. But I will always be there for you - to hear you, to cheer for you, to laugh or cry with you, to protect you with my life.  No one (but God) will ever love you more than I do, because I am your Mom.  I will love you for eternity.

Happy Mama's Day!

We're going to do this one in reverse.  :)

Sunday
Being 2 days late is the trend for me lately, so no surprise that I missed my Mother's Day post as originally planned.  :)  Hope your day was wonderful - blessed with memories and surrounded by those you love.  I awoke to an array of HOMEMADE Mother's Day cards, complete with coupons from Terry for shoulder rub, foot rub, and Mama's day off ('No Complaints' written as a disclaimer on the bottom of the coupons - which I found really sweet).  Even Noah gave me one, which, *gulp* reminds me that I can't choose a favorite card, because they are all equally precious...but still.  And to our amazing Mama - you are the reason I AM, and I am eternally grateful to have a Mother as kind, caring, and smart as you.  You taught me everything I know - and that's A LOT.  ;-9
We had a beautiful meeting, such peace and comfort.  Met GregO's brother John from WA, and his gorgeous wife Laura.

Went to Managos for the best pork chop lunch ever, then time at the Higashihara Park with the kids.  That park is amazing - quite different from the small kid time park we spent many afternoons pot-lucking and playing in.

Spent a quiet evening at home and went to bed REALLY early!  :)  All in all, a most memorable and sweet Mothers Day 2010.

Saturday
Taiaroa's 9th birthday party at the Tait's property in dryside Waimea.  What a spectacularly gorgeous place - complete with a private pond, half pipe, and plenty of room to roam.  :)  We met this wonderful familia during Rugby, and are sad they are leaving just as we are getting to know/enjoy them.  VT here they come!
Looking towards the house from the pond.
Happy Birthday!  Notice the sheet blocking the wind?  Thank goodness for the breeze that day.  Kim made THE BEST lemon-poppyseed-buttercream frosting-cake-made-from-scratch EVER.  I had 2 pieces!  :)

Ok, anyone else notice Kawena's HANDS?!
Boys will be boys...

Friday
FAMILY FUN NIGHT!  Found out that my husband is a skilled face painter - he's full of surprises!

Thursday
Finished Teacher Appreciation Week with ZUMBA for the teachers/staff!  What fun it was and awesome to spread out.  THANK YOU so much Le'ale'a Fitness!  :)

Well, here we are in the last week and a half until graduation and on towards summer!  Excited, overwhelmed, inspired, amazed, looking forward.

Peace,
Mrs. C
