Ventured to Mauna a Wakea on Saturday to play in the snow. Something about this mountain makes me feel
AT HOME.
Here is the view of Mauna Loa from the summit of Mauna Kea. Mauna Loa is actually the more massive mountain, but from our perspective, it's in Mauna Kea's shadow.
We had to take our flag and represent. Got some honks, some boo's (49ers fans had the nerve!), and some paparazzi. Seriously though, this film maker who made a documentary about his experience being caught in Mt St. Helen's when she erupted, was following us around getting footage. He said he was going to submit it to the Seahawks and see if they 'want to use it'. Ummmmm, I don't want to be famous. ;) Haha!

TWELVE (ok Hawks fans, coincidence? I think not) years of marriage in a couple weeks. I have a lot to learn about being a good wife - and I'm so thankful he still puts up with me as I do.
There's nothing that will give you a real dose of humble pie quite like being above the clouds, on the top of a mountain, in the middle of the ocean, watching the sunset. *Yes, God, I feel You, and I hear You.
