Cali's Field Trip

Calista had a field trip out to the West Hawaii Explorations Academy (www.whea.net) and I had the privilege of being a chaperone. I had a group of 4 girls, and we explored many different stations at this outdoors school, with emphasis on the environment and outdoor studies. It was amazing; the charisma of the student tour guides, their knowledge, and the overall "feel". If it wasn't so far away, I would consider this for high school!

Hammerhead shark - ooohhh! aaaahhh! wow! Little did these girls know I've swam with things bigger than him. Didn't want to freak them out, though.
Shark, manta ray pool
My girls, and Cali's friends.
Touching the sea cucumbers. "Ew! They're squishy!"
Washing hands off after being tricked in to touching a bag full of fish doodoo. The kids loved that! :)
Listening intently...
Taking a ride in the electric car! Too cool!

What a nice day. I came super organized, and Ms. Millburg was so glad for that. Cooler full of iced water, trash bags, sunscreen, and towels to the rescue! If only I was that prepared on a daily basis...

Anyhow, the next post will be the haircut I took her to get after the excursion.
